MiQ buys Adsmovil's Latin American business
On 25 March 2026 MiQ announced an agreement to buy Adsmovil's Latin American business. The release states coverage of 12 markets, among them Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, Argentina, Chile, Peru and Uruguay, and more than 150 employees in the region. The company further claims over 400 million unique identifiers and a system called Sigma fed by 700 trillion global signals, with a regional launch planned for May 2026.
One reading caveat, because it changes how much the sentences weigh: this is a release from the buyer itself. "Largest independent offering in the region", "400 million identifiers" and "700 trillion signals" are claims the company makes about itself, not third-party measurements. The transaction value was not disclosed.
What matters to a publisher is the direction of the consolidation: it happened on the side that buys media, not the side that sells it. A larger buyer negotiates with more leverage, integrates more data and concentrates more of the decision about where money goes.
Our reading: every merger on the buy side raises the price of selling alone. A mid-size publisher cannot answer by becoming large, but it can stop being a loose line in a buying spreadsheet: a format only it has, a price agreed in advance, and someone on its side of the table.
